About this place
Whether you want a substantial meal built around fried rice and gyoza or prefer to pick at a few small plates, Bamiyan - Yuzato makes it easy to tailor a Chinese-style meal to the occasion. Diners who ordered the gyoza and fried rice have said they enjoyed both. The Taiwanese fried rice with a large fried chicken piece comes topped with a generous piece coated in soy-seasoned batter scented with star anise and cinnamon. One diner recalled that the chicken was surprisingly not very greasy and the fried rice was light. Add gyoza or another bite-sized dish to try several things: the authentic pan-fried gyoza come in portions of 6, while the xiaolongbao come in portions of 3. Choosing a main first and adding a small plate is one way to find a combination that suits you.
Other dishes include seafood yakibifun (stir-fried rice vermicelli) and Taiwanese danzai noodles. The seafood rice vermicelli is described as lightly seasoned with the flavour of small shrimp, with black vinegar added at the end. Its fresh-tasting profile should make it easy to share between other dishes. Taiwanese danzai noodles pair minced meat with a light, salt-seasoned broth, and are also available in a small-bowl size. They are an easy choice if you want to add a noodle dish to a meal of several shared plates.
For a more substantial set meal, options include sweet-and-sour pork with black vinegar, yurinchi (fried chicken with a tangy sauce) and chinjao rosu (stir-fried beef and peppers). Choose a set meal if you want rice at the centre of your meal, or small plates and dim sum to share with others. Drinks include beer, sours and Shaoxing wine. One diner said the house-made oolong tea went particularly well with the richer dishes, so tea is another option to pair with your meal.
